Depot Manager in Hoofddorp

As a depot manager, you ensure that newspapers from your depot are delivered on time to subscribers six days a week. You are responsible for managing your team and maintaining a high level of delivery quality. This is not an ordinary position: the depot in Hoofddorp has no less than 55 newspaper districts and has faced many challenges recently. That's why we're looking for someone who is proactive and experienced in recruiting and leading a team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Around 3:00 a.m., you receive the daily newspapers.
• You ensure that the correct numbers go out with the right delivery personnel.
• You provide clear instructions and motivate the newspaper delivery staff to ensure timely delivery to subscribers.
• You maintain excellent delivery quality, despite staffing challenges.
• You manage and expand your local network, for instance by being active on social media like Facebook, to recruit new delivery personnel.
• Handle single-copy sales, distribute and count newspapers, and cover open routes (separate compensation applies for these tasks).
• You complete administrative tasks and ensure smooth operations at the depot.
