Are you a night owl with organizational talent? Would you enjoy leading a team of newspaper deliverers and distributors, ensuring that the delivery of Dutch daily newspapers runs smoothly in Buitenpost from Monday through Saturday? Then this challenging and independent role as Location Coordinator at Mediahuis might be perfect for you!
Mediahuis is one of the largest media companies in the Netherlands. With influential newspapers, strong radio stations, and innovative online platforms, we reach millions of people every day. Mediahuis Distribution ensures that newspapers such as Dagblad van het Noorden, Feanster, De Telegraaf, and AD are delivered on time.
While the rest of the Netherlands is still asleep, you make sure thousands of people receive their newspaper on time. As a Location Coordinator at Mediahuis, you are the one who keeps everything running smoothly in the early hours. You ensure that delivery in your region is flawless, motivate and support the deliverers and distributors, and quickly resolve unexpected issues. If a deliverer calls in sick, you arrange a replacement—if necessary, you’ll even deliver the papers yourself. Using the delivery app, you keep an overview of your team remotely. Additionally, you’re responsible for optimizing delivery routes and ensuring proper payment for your deliverers.
You’ll also play an active role in recruiting and training new deliverers, ensuring your region is well staffed and that deliverers feel appreciated.
Besides working on location, you’ll handle administrative tasks as well. These include processing reimbursements, handling complaints, and maintaining deliverer records. These tasks can be done flexibly from home, at a time that suits you best.
